This family home was entirely restructured within a former 19th-century brush factory in northeast Paris. The project sought to strike a balance between the raw brick architecture of the original industrial building and a functional, contemporary interior.

Through targeted architectural interventions—such as opening load-bearing walls, adding a second floor within the existing volume, and building a custom wooden staircase—we optimized the living space and refined the layout. The result is a set of generous, light-filled communal areas complemented by more intimate private rooms.

By exposing the original roof structure, we highlighted the building’s historic character and impressive ceiling height. The interior design blends contemporary furniture with mid-century pieces, creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere throughout.
